A new series: Beauty in the Mundane

If you’re anything like me you sometimes thought that the life you live now is nowhere near what you thought it’d be. Your earlier self thought you’d live overseas, or find a job as a celebrated academic, or host amazing dinner parties, or have children that listened to you. You were supposed to be the hostess, the career woman, the idyllic mother, the unswerving confidante to your bosom friend (Anne Shirley anyone?). Instead there’s crumbs and dust and who-knows-what stuck in the kitchen floor. There’s tears and doors slamming and the unrelenting pile of laundry and dishes. It’s all so ordinary.

I hope you’ll go on a journey with me through the month of October. I’m committing to write daily with the blogging challenge write31days. Join me by commenting, reading along, and sharing posts as we search out what it looks like to live an ordinary life with beauty. And to make sure you don’t miss a single post, subscribe by entering your email in the subscription section on the sidebar.
